Dear Friends of Creative Living,

As begin 2011, we prepare for an important milestone...our 25th anniversary of serving developmentally disabled individuals!  In 1986 there was a coming together of vision and drive with an old farm house, and so began Creative Living.  Our mission over these past 25 years has been to enhance the lives of developmentally disabled individuals and those who care for them.  With the tireless support of our volunteer Board of Directors, community leaders, families, and YOU, Creative Living has development an array of educational, social, recreational and respite solutions to extend the horizons of our special friends.

Here are some of the exciting highlights from a busy 2010...

• Developed a dynamic, user-friendly, highly functional, bi-lingual website.  Please visit us at www.creativelivingandover.org to see our mission in action;
• Worked collaboratively with the Andover School system to develop special needs after school programming;
• Held our first teen GetAway overnight;
• Welcomed North Andover Best Buddies, Massachusetts Down Syndrome Congress, and the Andover Special Education Parent Advisory Committee (SEPAC) to special events at our home;
• Partnered with Merrimack College Business Department to update and refine our strategic plan;

With your support, we have more plans to grow in 2011.  Our goals include growing our services and programming for special needs youth, refurbishing and painting all our bedrooms, and replacing exterior doors.  All of these initiatives take dollars to accomplish.  As a private, non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization, Creative Living receives no state funding and counts on support from individuals such as yourself along with foundations and grants to achieve our goals.
